The Lake District Visitor Centre at Brockhole is located on the A591 road between Windermere and Ambleside and is open to the public (except in Winter). Apart from the building which houses displays and exhibitions there are gardens which extend down to the lake.
The Authority organizes various events and issues an annual "Events" guide. Monthly events bulletins are available on request.
